Common questions

Is this legal advice?
No. Legal Ladder is not a law firm and does not create a lawyer-client relationship. It maps cited statutes to the facts you provide. It does not say whether your arrangement or website is allowed. When the next step takes professional judgment, the product says so and points you to a licensed healthcare lawyer in that state.
What does each product do?
Chat answers healthcare regulatory questions with citations and stops short of a verdict. Risk Checks walk through a questionnaire for the state you pick (Florida and California are built) and show what was checked. The State Law Library lets you read the underlying rules; one state is free. Entity Status returns what a state registry publishes about a legal name. Facility License does the same for a state license file. Forms Checklist lists the paperwork that commonly belongs in a setting. Compliance Tools are Excel worksheets sold a la carte. Nothing on the site replaces a lawyer on your specific deal.
Who is this for?
Healthcare operators: physician practices, DPC, telehealth and digital health, MSO and PE-backed groups, ASCs, and home health, in the states we cover. It is not built as a lawyer-only research tool and it is not a general website scanner for other industries.
Why do answers stop instead of telling me what to do?
Because applying a statute to your facts as if we were your counsel is not what this product is. The useful part is the map: which rule, which of your facts sit next to it, and what is still missing. The decision stays with you and a licensed lawyer.
Why per user?
A seat is for one named person. The people who need this are usually a small group, an administrator, a compliance lead, a practice manager, so most operators start with one or two seats regardless of how many sites they run. Larger teams and enterprise pricing are a conversation, email info@legalladder.ai.
Can I buy a tool on its own?
Yes. Compliance Tools are available a la carte at $300 each. See the Compliance Tools page.
